Let's Visit Chiang Mai Zoo

Chiang Mai zoo is the first zoo in Northern Thailand and it is the only zoo that visitors can experince the excitement  and close to various species of animals in their natural habitat. Chiang Mai zoo was habitated in 1974 by the The Zoological Park Organization, Thailand. The zoo is located at the foothill of Doi Suthep mountain and surrounded by hilly terrain which is home to thousands of species of wild plants and flowers adorning the natural landscape of valleys, streams and waterfalls. There are severals services inside the zoo that offer to the tourists in order to comfort them such as public relations, souvenir shop, film booth, food, monorail(monorail fee: foreigner - 150 Baht, Thai - adult 100 Baht/child 50 Baht) and tram service (fee: Thai and foreigner - adult 20 Baht/child 10 Baht).
