Bo Sang Umbrella Village is located on San Kamphaeng Road which is 9 km southeast from downtown.
The village has its own unique charm and character of its own that we can easily notice from treasure trove of beautiful temples and fertile rice fields. Interesthingly, it was once a part of the ancient Lanna Kingdom and it is a famouse town for its traditional Thai umbrella and others handicraft.
Bo Sang umbrella village is originally a small village where generations of families were gathering for umbrella making (silk and cotton umbrellas and paper parasols).
Therefore, many tourists around the world visit here in order to admire the beauty atmosphere of the village and buy the handmade umbrellas or others handicraft for either themselves or someone special back at home.
